Free Networks (WiFi and other) - Aeneas - 11-15-2008

If you live in any of the cities mentioned in this article, did you try the free networks? I had a chance to look at RedLibre in Spain and it was wonderful. And it's all put together and maintained by enthusiastic do-gooders who donate their time for this worthy cause.
A good niche for altruistic techies.

The list is good, however it's not full. There are ten times more free networks available in big cities/towns. Actually, on average, you can catch about 15 wireless networks every 500 meters in London. At least 3 of them are free.

That's very true. But these (freenet) are the folks who give their time and resources for altruistic reasons.
