Let's meet the new US president - Steven - 11-04-2008

Hi everybody,
Today is the big day, the day expected for a very long time by Americans. The 2008 elections.
People wait changes, changes to a better trend. Some are seek and tired by America's current internal and external policy. For many Obama means the US's chance to be pulled out of its current crisis state.
Tomorrow morning we will find out the name of the new US president. Let us greet him!

Congratulations Mr. Obama. Today, the entire world, not only America, celebrates your victory. Obama has gained 52% of the votes, as against 46% won by McCain. The winner takes it all!!!
His policy is different from the Bush administration, the world will now witness serious changes.

Yep, I share with your opinion, Helen.

Hopefully, Obama will bring more good news to the US citizen and the world!

What I saw on TVs today really shocked me. Almost every country in the world celebrates Obama's victory. Especially these are African countries.
I liked Silvio Berlusconi's claim:
Obama is young, nice and sunbathed Confuseduper
It made the public laugh

Obama seems to be repeating G.W. Bush's mistake: Bush always used to hit his head when entering helecopters.
Now take a look at Obama doing the same thing ;-)

Obama faces a lot of issues - already four of the proposed candidates refused taking the positions offered by Obama. Could that mean lack of trust? :-(

It can mean that things arent bright for US. No one wnts to take responsability for troubles. Or broken hopes. US would be fine i think but too much is expected of Obama.

Re: Let's meet the new US president - M.Helen - 02-18-2009

I read an article saying that by the end of 2009, US may expect a civil war due to many disagreements inside the country. Do you think it's possible?

Re: Let's meet the new US president - SiD - 02-18-2009

I am sure that this is impossible.

Re: Let's meet the new US president - Terry - 02-19-2009

Re: Let's meet the new US president - Faw_Peter - 02-21-2009

interesting... why namely break down into six parts. You know, I don't see many results since Obama has overtaken the power. Maybe it's early to make appraisals, but I have up to now I have seen more words than actions. Americans are waiting for a miracle, but I'm not sure whether it's going to come.
