Love and passion - Faw_Peter - 10-31-2008

Did you ever ask yourself a question what is the difference between love and passion?
The main difference between these two feelings is their lasting. Love will last for a very and very long time, maybe even forever, while passion is very short. Despite this, many confuse love with passion and thereby make a big mistake.
Know what your feeling is. Remember that passion can appear very sudden, it's what people call "love at first sight", while love appears with time.

Passion is more like physical attraction, while love is something which lasts longer. Love lives inside our mind and doesn't allow us to think about anything but our love.

I actually see no difference between love and passion. You're saying passion is only physical attraction, but it's not, passion is felt inside. Sometimes the passion even makes a little fire burn inside you and it can further give birth to love. Both are very pleasant. Confuseduper

Passion is an emotional blow, it's a firework, a desire that can't wait in being fulfilled. Love's main characteristic starts from its main and core trait - infinite patient. You should agree that patience is the opposite of passion.

Love is something which is much more valuable than passion. Also, passion without love doesn't bring you full happiness.

I think passion is just another form for love. Avoid people whose passion or love is artificial. If you feel that, you better stop your affairs. If not, they might bring you lots of despaired feelings and it'll have a negative touch for your life.

Here is a tip to make you understand whether it's passion: you're not interested in what your partner is talking about. You can easily live one week together not even talking to each other. When you meet, you forget to talk.
Remember, this is passion and not love.

Determining whether it's love or passion is easier than you expect. Love is about your partners' wishes, while passion is about your wishes. Now balance your feelings and his/her feelings and understand which one is beyond the other one, and thereby you'll find out whther you're in love or it's just passion.

To live is like to love -
all reason is against it,
and all healthy instinct for it.

True love cannot be found where it truly does not exist,
Nor can it be hidden where it truly does.

When one loves, he usually praises his partner's most positive traits. Moreover, he use to "build castles" around him, saying that his/her beloved has no shortcomings. Passion gives people a temporary feeling of attraction and desire for physical contact.
