London: Senior road safety auditor - EUjobs - 08-01-2008
My client is looking for a Senior Road Safety Auditor to join their team and undertake road safety audits and contribute to the design of road safety remedial schemes on the London road network. The suitable candidate will degree qualified (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate a suitable level of experience within a similar role capacity
You will:
Deputise for the Principal Road Safety Auditor, as and when required.
Undertake all aspects of commissioned Road Safety Audits on roads in London, ensuring quality, accuracy and conformity with current procedures/standards.
Contribute to the updating and development of TfL's Road Safety Audit Guidance Manuals and Procedures.
Supervise the work of a Road Safety Audit Team Member on a project basis.
Write Road Safety Audit reports presenting the findings and recommendations as per current procedures/standards
Undertake Stage 4 Road Safety Audits to monitor changes following the implementation of schemes on the Highway.
Attend site meetings with interested parties to discuss and identify safety problems and proposed remedial measures.
Carry out site visits to record site conditions, including taking photographs and video recordings.
Contribute to the preparation of detailed collision studies to the required LRSU specification.
Prepare outline drawings of recommended measures for inclusion in technical reports.
Assist with the management of Road Safety Audit consultants commissioned to deal with busy periods of peak demand.
Assist with the training and development of road safety engineering staff within the London Road Safety Unit, to add to the pool of expertise available for TfL.
