Bulgaria is beautiful, there are a lot of distractions, hot beaches, good nightclubs, wonderful scenery to the mountains and the important thing is that there also is good weather.

Croatia. If you'r on tight budget, why don't you think about private accommodation? For example, if you will travel throught Croatia, you can find here http://www.croatiaapartments.org a ton of cheap accommodation in private apartments in Croatia.

Been there in 2008 in Nicosia and I have enjoyed it singularly. The beaches reminds me of Algarve in Portugal... plenty of english tourists, warm weather and pretty gals... a must to anyone interested in culture and ancient history.... don't forget to visit the "other side" divided by Turkey since 1974.

Hello Shane!
I can recommend Portugal- Lisbon, Spain-Asturias and Italy-Rome.
Lisbon is a great city with a lot of history and to be there is it like travel back in time. Tiny streets, small cafes on every corner, people hanging out the window :) If you go there, you should stay in a city center, in old neighborhood like Alfama or Mouraria and rent a small apartment.
Asturias- very recommendable if you like an active holiday and nature. It is beautiful there: mountains, lakes and rivers, fresh air and you can do all kind of activities.
Rome!!!! Wonderful city, many things to see!!! Delicious and relatively cheap food!!! You can find a small hotel in a city center and cheap (for Rome standards, around 100 EUR per night).
Hope it can help you somehow:)

There are plenty of beautiful places in eastern European country but it is hard to choose among it.Croatia is wonderful! Beautiful beaches, kind people, inexpensive. But beware if you travel in late September or October, many of the camping grounds and tourist site close up for the "winter".
