What is the cheapest way to get there? I want to visit the pyramids in Giza and Luxor. I was thinking about flying to Cairo from Cyprus and then maybe taking train from cairo to luxor then back to cairo. And fly back to cyprus. But I don't want to spend a whole lot of money. Any suggestions for an easier, cheaper way? I think I will only have a week to travel.

Travel with an Egyptian friend, let him do your bookings in museums, hotels, transport, etc ull cut off probably 50% foreigner fees and taxes

There is a regular ferry service from Limassol in Cyprus to Egypt. Details are on the Cyprus Tourist Office website at http://www.visitcyprus.com Try to travel overnight to avoid wasting tourist time.
