Does anyone know what food items are allowed to be carried in luggage for travel to Bulgaria?

we could not take anything to tunisia with us nothing at all through check in we had to buy every thing from airport

Take some stuff and if they say you can't keep it give it to them - its not a rich country

I think that you may take food items but you will have to declare them at the customs.
All food must go through the X-ray machine. Food must be wrapped or in a container.
