The one act play takes place in Vienna in the year of 1948. The restaurant where they are gathered to sing the song "Happy Birth Day To You" for it's the birth day of SAM is the pretext to have the members of his family and some good people which are amongst the favourites in their social circles. The house which would be used as a very special restaurant after the World War II is in good condition and have been apparently restored as a modern inn. Its archaic gate and the doors linking corridors to hall and rooms are piously brown, and the blue shutters of-nearly-all windows seem in a brilliant and faultless-if it's the word-condition. Fruit trees in good health so far being observed from a distance are encircling the restaurant. Some of the ordinary yet huge trees bend their spectre like branches down over the blossoms of the others. They appear to sanctify the briar enriched with quince, apple, and pomegranate trees.
As a rule there is a path between the gate and the front door of the building. A well designated porch is on the south side of the path.




THE ONLY PART

SCENE

It is 7 hours PM of a day at the end of summer in the year abovementioned. There is a storm and everything is being shook to topple down on the trellises of the vineyards. The clouds swept by the storm in a deep colours sky, instead the gray sunset goes on with glowing, but everything seems pale as used to be in shadow.
The gate shut after Sam goes out and the young girl approaches to the east side of the porch and stands looking down his dad walking in a haste on the road neighbouring to the gate. He has a daily tabloid in his hand and this he would prefer to swing in a reflexive way of perfunctory gait. Then he raises his eyes towards the sky as if intending to stare up forever. The young girl coughs as the tuberculosis suffering patient used to do. Her mother turns her head towards her daughter puzzled, and awfully in a panic.

SAM (returning to the garden)- Oh our Lord! (His tears start to drop over his cheeks and he stares about him miserably) He is sixty, moderately tall and yet thoroughly erect. His feature is formally formed, not good or bad-nor tepid-looking, but his talent to pray for happiness and good service is clear and, say, robust. Under the thunderbolts of the storm his face is defiant, his dark brown eyes remind one of those of a crocodile glancing at its prey .
IGOR-(Earnestly) Yes God.
IVAN-He said "Lord"! Eh?
VIOLET--(sadly) Such a storm in The Europe, Oh my God.
The young Girl-What?
The WAITRESS-(To the lady-Sam's Wife-) My woman. All the dishes are ready.
The PIANIST-Yeah! Does everybody forget we're here for a birthday feast.
SAM-Let's not neglect our duty! I mean to dine for the sake of our empty stomachs and to introduce our thanksgiving to the Creator of both the food to put down and Hawking Storm to prevent us to dine in happiness.
IGOR-You see without the help of the Saviour one cannot eat one's delicious food created by the Creator-Nature the MOM.
SAM--(still under the influence of the Hawking Storm) Isn't The LORD whose sniffing out is the Messiah the owner of the Creator-Nature the MOM also?
VIOLET-(Growing excited) Nearing Storm in the sky nourishes our LOVE for The Saviour!
SAM-(Excited by her exiting manner) Picking the fruits doesn't come to the meaning of being able to taste them!
The KIN FOLKS of Sam--(With a great happiness) Here you are the formula: Harvest up the fruits and turn your face towards the Saviour before making a fault or falling in devouring the abundance.
IGOR AND IVAN-(Together) The REAL ABUNDANCE belongs not to the Creator-Nature the MOM but to HER Owner-The LORD who gives us our strength to cope with the fake abundance of The Nature.
SAM-If we ploughed without the help of the Messiah, say in Jerusalem no date shall be ours peacefully!
IGOR--(Vouching) Must be so.
IVAN- Who replies you saying "Maybe" is no doubt a heathen...-
IGOR-Not heathen yet maybe a victim.
SAM-We all are fed up with those "Maybe" platitudes...
IGOR-Let nobody leave us in the mysterious hours of an evening with mo food and yet full of thanksgiving like this.
SAM--Let get the best of all dishes of the feast.

Prof. MES thought or rather tried to think for a while, and there happened to him at that instant what might happen to the living bodies when they would be caught unexpectedly in a situation worth to be called debacle very pitiful or even harshly disgraceful. Then having lost one half of its body should be one of the evil shows of the creator-Nature the MOM from the point of the little cat, and the same for the professor to be witnessing it under the balcony of his drawing room when he would come back to home after a dreary work day in his clinic. But he could not pulled it off in adapting his thought to the incident in which he should proceed against the evil of the Creator- Nature The MOM by the moral inflammatory provoked by either the fault or the crime of that creating, cute, and merciless power that instead of being ashamed, denying, defending Herself, begging forgiveness before the breath of The Lord-The Messiah, instead of even remaining indifferent, and even pretending to be unconscious under the gray clouds should show Her idiotic smile over the chirps of some sparrow like birds and yellow flowers bright and arduously pompous.

For this idiotic smile of the Creator-Nature The MOM he could not forgive the Creator-Nature The MOM. Catching sight of that smile, Prof MES trembled with fury as though suffering from physical pain, broke out with his characteristic heat into a flood of cursing words, and rushed out of the scene.

Prof. MES thought that it's that idiotic smile that might be the cause of the famous question asking what one ought to do. Scarcely asked he himself "But what must we do?" before The Messiah helped the little-half body cat- to reach its mothers lips to touch them with his pure scarlet tongue for a farewell in despair, and found an answer instead of The Creative Evil available every corner where The Messiah would not be not present to help.

As for the saving presence of The Saviour-The Messiah only praying in love could always be sufficient!
