Check out the united nations web sight .

Our studies and developments of new discoveries are going to change
everything .

The exploration of space travel and planets , pollution of our orbit with space junk , and the possibility of setting off a retaliatory attack
from another life forms are becoming a reality .

That is a very interesting question. I'm a big fan on the study of cosmology. I believe there a two major points of view on the subject. 1. Scientific. 2. Religious or Philosophical. Either way there is no right answer because the two have been at odds with each other for ever. To try to explain how it effects us on a global way you would have to take the religious or philosophical approach. The reasoning being how are you going to explain quantum physics, dark matter, string theroy, gravity, magnetic fields, etc. etc.

But with the religious or philosophical approach you have to be careful in the "GOD" problem, as you don't want to offend anybody. The planet is 4-5 billion years old and we've been here a few thousand years. Insects and some reptiles have been here millions of years due to their ability to adapt.

So I guess my answer to the question would be something like this.

Man has only been on this planet for a few thousand years. Other living things, insects, reptiles, certain plant species for millions of years.

At this time I'm here on earth and just a tiny grain of sand in the grand scheme of things. Religion believes A ''GOD'' created all the universes, science is advancing and can trace the beginnings back to a second before what they call the big bang theory which was the beginning scientifically of the universe.

My opinion at this time is the question can't be answered with absolute certainty or proven fact, because there isn't enough data.

How humanity plays out in the grand scheme of things I don't have the answer for that. I don't know how long humanity will be here.

What I do know is this: You and I and the rest of humanity are here right now, this instant. The past is gone and never to return, the future is not yet come, all we have is the immediate present. Let's do what we can to make it a better world.
