Allergy on food
#1
Post information about food that you consider or are sure to be allergic.
In children, common allergy-provoking foods include cow's milk protein, egg white from hens, wheat, soya bean, codfish and peanuts.

In adults, nuts including Brazil, almond, hazelnut, peanut and walnut are common allergens. Seafood such as fish, mussels, crab, prawn, shrimp and squid may also cause allergic reactions.
What are you allergic on?

I wonder why people have allergy on food??? I suppose their immune system is very weak. I personally don't have allergy on food, just if it is rotten.

A food allergy is an adverse immune response to a food protein.[1][2] Food allergy is distinct from other adverse responses to food, such as food intolerance, pharmacologic reactions, and toxin-mediated reactions.
The food protein triggering the allergic response is termed a food allergen. It is estimated that up to 12 million Americans have food allergies,[3] and the prevalence is rising.[4] Six to eight percent of children under the age of three have food allergies and nearly four percent of adults have them.[5] Food allergies cause roughly 30,000 emergency room visits and 100 to 200 deaths per year in the United States.[6] The most common food allergies in adults are shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and eggs,[5] and the most common food allergies in children are milk, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts.[5]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_allergy

If you have allergy on a kind of food, you must stop eating it and utilizing it as the ingredients. An allergy can even cause death in some cases, if it is not treated in time.

I am allergic to nuts. When I was a kid came in visit my mother's sister and Igot out with her for a walk. Mom said that I'm allergic but she forgot and bought dessert, which had nuts in it. In a few moments I started to suffocate and if she had not reacted quickly I, possibly have died. Do not play with fire. No cause not worth such a risk!

There are a lot of people who have allergy on food, for example my friend can not eat any food with the red color and have big problems with eating them, like itches, or even inflammations and other terrible symptoms which can damage very bad the health.
