It's worth mentioning that 29/09/2000 is the date when Ariel Sharon went to visit a disputed area in Jerusalem which sparked angry protests consequently turned into the II Intifada.
Here are some other casualty figures. Brackets indicate people aged under 18. Figures are taken from the UN:
2005 - 216 (52) Palestinians 48 (6) Israelis
2006 - 678 (127) Palestinians 25 (2) Israelis
2007 - 396 (43) Palestinians 13 (0) Israelis
Had higher casualty figures represented the Israeli losses, I bet the world would have arisen hue and cry about the second Jewish Holocaust...
A great article telling an appalling truth about the conflict:

You know, how said would not be, but let's remember who have done and said those words... of course human beings !!!! regretful, but I understood that people(especially those who hold the power) do not learn from others neither from theirs mistakes, and you know why? because they play not with their life's ....
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

Israel has the right to live in peace. And they will even if it means military efforts.
I still think this post is anti-semitic and demand it to be closed

I agree with you... but the solution is not in military efforts...so they only will count the bodies...

It's a difficult situation,
but if they would stop killing each other,
it would be much easier to solve!

I am not sure that this thread is anti-semitic. The western media tends to be pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian (after all, the situation is partially the fault of those governments who didn't know what to do with Israel or the large number of displaced Jews after the second world war...)

I see this thread as an antedote to the anti-Muslim reports we often see. We must remember that there are two sides to this conflict.

Jews are not European colonists but a people with a historical claim to the land they call Israel. Large numbers of Arabs have been living in parts of the same land for centuries. Those who call themselves Palestinians do not form or feel part of any other country.

More or less Jews in general are as bad or as good as any other people around. Therefore, they can be hardly blamed for the living hell called Gaza.
As far as the Israeli policy in Palestine is concerned, it is most vividly and comprehensively described in 'Occupation 101', the prize-winning documentary that I'd recommend to those interested in roots of the conflict.

Why Gaza called that?

It is that true that the people who leave in Gaza is bad?

I think is not, I feel their are people around is not all bad.

Perhapse if the Arafat invented “Palestinian” people accepted that Israel has a right to exist, stopped targeting civilians in Israel, stopped the terrorists from operating from within their own civilian populations and hiding behind their women’s aprons, and instead of using their kids lives as propaganda took care of them as the Israeli people do for their civilians. things might start to improve for them.

How many rockets were launched against Israeli civilian targets by terrorists operating from within Gaza after Israel pulled out of Gaza as an indication of their desire to achieve peace before operation “Cast Lead” took place?

And how many times did the Gaza based terrorists warn the people in the target area before each wave of attacks?

It’s independently recorded that over four thousand five hundred rocket and mortar shells had been fired from Gaza up to the end of 2008, and the number of warnings ……………. Zero.

I just wonder how many other nations would be as patient as the Israelis have been, I wonder how long the Turks would put up with incessant rocket fire from Greece for example before getting stuck in or how many warnings they would give of where they were about to attack.

Judging by their refusals to even accept much less offer an apology for their genocide against the Armenian people my guess is not long and well before the number had racked up to 4,500.

The question is what is Israel?

What are it's borders?

The international recognised border (until there is any mutually agreed changes) is the Green line.

Unfortunately, Israel has transferred over 500,000 colonists into occupied territories (West Bank - Golan and Gaza - Sinai - Lebanon in the past) in contravention of international law.

The lack of negotiated borders is the weeping wound that defines most issues associated with Israel

Israel ethnically cleansed 531 Arab villages in 1948. In many cases, executing any captives as Israel did not have prison camps to keep them in.

This is not the case with only Palestine or Israel. There are still many countries where people die just because of government decisions and I really hate that. Some people are crazy. :x
