Wimbledon 2008

Who do you think will become the winner of this tournament. A definite sensation was that Safin beat Djokovich.

Today another sensation - Dinara Safina (RUS) has been eliminated from the tournament by Shakar Peer.
Tomorrow the match of the day - R. Federer vs Hewitt Lleyton.
Read here the forecasts:

Federer vs Hewit 3:0 (7:6, 6:2, 6:4). Not a chance for Hewit; Nadal vs Youzhnii 3:0 (that was a surprise).
In WTA no sensations.. :|

Safin declared he wants to be the first to beat Federer at this tournament for the past 4 years.
At WTA, Dementieva lost to Serena Wiliams and Venus Wiliams beat Jeng Ji. So it look likes the final will be played by these two players.

In pairs the brothers Bryans qualified for finals.
Rafael Nadal wating for Roger Federer in the final again. It seems to be that nothing is changed. It's the 3rd year I think when Nadal and Federer play the final of Wimbledon.

The Wimbledon's final is taking place now: 2-2(4-6,4-6,7-6,7-6,2-2)
I don't know how it will end, but it's for the first time when Nadal shows such a battle.

Yes guys this was a very and very big surprise for tennis amateurs. Nadal proved to be the best - last set: 9:7 he wins. Spectators stood about 4 hours watching the final. Both players were very strong, but the youth seems to be stronger!

Match statistics show that Federer made 25 aces. And, surprise - Nadal only 2!

This is what I meant when I said in another topic that Federer is an edge player.
