Who could imagine a phone brand can be called in the name of a river that flows nearby the city it was produced in. Actually I know that the Russian car producer Volga named its brand in the name of the Russian river Volga

No "4" series because in Japan and China, the spelling of "4" sounds similar to "death". Nokia is aware of these issues and took that into consideration. Good market research

I think nobody heard of Nokia Siemens Networks, right? It provides mobile network infrastructure, communications and networks service platforms, along with professional services to operators and service providers. It involves about 150 mobile network customers in more than 60 countries

In 2007 (am not sure about the present) Nokia was the largest digital camera manufacturer. Also, it's first products included TV sets.

Steven, Nokia is even at present the largest digital camera producer, but that is because all it's the first phone priducer in the world, while its every phone has a built-in camera.

"aikon", that is Nokia inversely - this is how the company's employees call people who have not yet used Nokia phones.

One of Nokia's freshest offers is Nokia N97!. When I saw it, I said it should be mine! Its price reaches 500-600 euros. It can be compared with 5800, but they added a keyboard, as the touchscreen is not always comfy to use.
