EVolution?

Re: EVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

See Joan H's answer.

I'll just reiterate.

There is nothing more tragic than somebody declaring *AT 13*, that they have already decided to reject a core principle of modern science.

You will never be able to understand evolution.
And you will never be able to understand WHY scientists accept it so overwhelmingly.
So you will never understand how science works, or HOW SCIENTISTS THINK.

You will grow up thinking that scientists are fools ... or worse ... frauds.

You will learn utter *contempt* for science and the people who make it a career ... because they accept evolution, and you don't.

This is really very, very sad. Don't go there. It is dark.

You ever here of the missing link?
Evolution is still a theory and not all scientific minds buy it, you can still believe in evolution though but you have to go on faith that it is the creation of man and not God. Your choice make it count because someone will.

Re: How does rejecting evolution mean that creationists reject all science?

Postby Frumgar » 28 Jan 2011, 00:43

Well, while it's technically possible to only reject one detail of science, when you reject one as big and clear as evolution, chances are you aren't too bright. Stupid people and science don't mix.

Re: Why do some creationists claim that evolution is a religion?

Postby ViolaMWebb » 28 Jan 2011, 00:52

Coz they think atheism is a religion too. So anything atheists agree with is is a religion. Simple as that huh.

Kaylee,
Stick to your acceptance of God's creation. Notice that none of your respondents can tell you what this supposed common ancestor was. Evolutionists have tried time and time again unsuccessfully to propose new fossils as this "missing link" ancestor and each time they have been disproved. By their own dating methods, all of the supposed ancestors to man lived contemporaneously (at the same time), so they could not have "evolved" into humans. The fact of the matter is that God created both man and apes independent of one another. Each has changed over the years through processes of natural selection and mutations, but they have never changed into another creature. Creation theory is supported by an overwhelming amount of scientific evidence, so there is no reason to believe in evolutionary myths. I've attached several links if you'd like to do further research.

Edit:
Kaylee, don't accept the absolutely ridiculous notion that for some reason you must reject "science" in order to believe in evolutionary myths. There are many scientists who do not accept evolution. Accepting creation theory instead of evolution DOES NOT lead to "contempt" for science. That is the most blatant and irresponsible lie that I have ever heard on this forum. I am a creationist who loves and embraces science. What is supported by the FACTS is that belief in evolution leads to ATHEISM. That is why surveys show that 87% of leading evolutionists deny the existence of God and 94% of the National Academy of Science is atheist or agnostic. That is sad and it is the "dark" place that you shouldn't go. Understand and embrace science and do research on creation theory. It won't take long before you realize that evolutionary theory, which states that a molecule evolved into a man over billions of years, is actually a religious belief, not science.

Human beings are classified as great apes, so you're a great ape, and your ancestors are your parents.

The ancestor we share with chimpanzees would also be a great ape, as would the ancestor we share with gorillas. We can't point at any particular (extinct) species for either of these.

The longer you live, the more likely it is that someone will have told you that "Santa visitation" is not the best explanation for presents appearing under the tree.

It's a step in the right direction, but people can still believe that God designed the universe to include evolution. I think coming to the conclusion that God doesn't exist takes a little more inquiry than just the creation vs. evolution debate.

Because, among other things, they don't understand the differences between:

• a theory of science and a religious opinion (faith)
• evidence and personal experience
• evidence and "proof"
• a law of science and a theory of science

Because if they reject evolution they they are essentially rejecting the scientific method as a way to find truth.
and if they reject the scientific method then they must reject all of its conclusions.

"Pythagorean theorem, or the inverse square ratio law, or the law of gravity, the law of non-contradiction."
why did you include that?

Assuming that emigration is true, how is it that Europeans still exist? You need to sharpen your thinking a bit. Some great sites were given you; peruse them. Here are a couple more.
