Kaylee,
Stick to your acceptance of God's creation. Notice that none of your respondents can tell you what this supposed common ancestor was. Evolutionists have tried time and time again unsuccessfully to propose new fossils as this "missing link" ancestor and each time they have been disproved. By their own dating methods, all of the supposed ancestors to man lived contemporaneously (at the same time), so they could not have "evolved" into humans. The fact of the matter is that God created both man and apes independent of one another. Each has changed over the years through processes of natural selection and mutations, but they have never changed into another creature. Creation theory is supported by an overwhelming amount of scientific evidence, so there is no reason to believe in evolutionary myths. I've attached several links if you'd like to do further research.
Edit:
Kaylee, don't accept the absolutely ridiculous notion that for some reason you must reject "science" in order to believe in evolutionary myths. There are many scientists who do not accept evolution. Accepting creation theory instead of evolution DOES NOT lead to "contempt" for science. That is the most blatant and irresponsible lie that I have ever heard on this forum. I am a creationist who loves and embraces science. What is supported by the FACTS is that belief in evolution leads to ATHEISM. That is why surveys show that 87% of leading evolutionists deny the existence of God and 94% of the National Academy of Science is atheist or agnostic. That is sad and it is the "dark" place that you shouldn't go. Understand and embrace science and do research on creation theory. It won't take long before you realize that evolutionary theory, which states that a molecule evolved into a man over billions of years, is actually a religious belief, not science.
