Of course, I agree. In comparison with 90's, Gaidar's hyperinflation, 1998 default the current situation looks as 'some difficulties', no more.

However, current Russia's rulling elite faces very hard times. It demonstrates very poor performance during current crisis, it lied, it hasn't in fact a clear plan - what to do.

Statistics show that the number of Russia's super-rich was painfully hit by the financial crisis. Thus, their number reduced from 101 in 2008 to 49 now. That gives a good proof of how Russia is not witnessing its best times...

Did you know that recently in Russia a new brand of vodka found its place on the market: "Medvedeff", it's probably an answer to the already known brand "Putinka" :-)

wow, these probably should be their own brands. The manufacturers don't even have to promote their brands, the names are already doing this work. Wonder if they paid special tax for using this names :quoi

I think it's like a luxury vodka, only for rich guys, to be interpreted like distinct , king's drink. Russia will save its old, traditional mode of thinking everywhere and everytime. And this is just a ring of long row of elements introduced by a soviet's and a russian cheaf of the state

Hey, Guys!, if you will look in russian history you can see each leader introduced a sign of his personality, it was made special or not. For example> Peter 1, introduced a lot of political, economical, social reformes, he added european values to old Russia, Hrushiov and Brejnev realized a big social programm, which made a lot of families to be householders and a lot of apartments are called Hrushiovka, Brejnevka. It's difficult to introduce a new sign like this, today. So, the best way is to create new name of a popular vodka.

Hey, newrussian body, where are you?, I tried Medvedeff vodka, and I don't think it's a big difference between other types of real good Russian national drink. The main reason to buy it, is to put this bottle somewhere on an image place

Mr.Peach is right, vodka is a sign of power in this case, political, economical and social reforms promoved by Putin together with Medvedev will be helped by a good publicity, plus national drink named like national leader it's a good international brand and a trace in history.

This is a promotional element for Mr. Medvedev, like president( from Putin's programm), because I know a big number of russians don't like this personality, and the last presidential elections were frauded. But, for Medvedev this team should imagine another production, because vodka was for Putin, Putinka and 2 similar ways- it's not interesting.

Really, these 2 guys, presidents have enough money to realize this project for comercial purposes,so it's just political way of mind. But I dont't like it, they must action in a more simple mode to be popular.
