Why can't I keep my motivation while making a machinima?

I've been planning to make a machinima for quite some time, but each time I get to the point of recording the voices for the characters, my motivation dissapears. Im doing this solo so recording voices for like 6 characters is kinda hard (even with audio editing) Any tips for keeping my motivation up? Or am I just being lazy?
