Think and about others. Winter holidays are a celebration of joy, and we feel really happy when we have within us the power to make others happy. And this is easier than I thought. No need to done large sums of money and make uncommon efforts. We all have an older neighbor who does not manage alone with shopping, especially on holidays, we live near a hospital where are children with cancer whom you can give a toy or a chocolate, we all spend enough time on the Internet to find foundations where any help is welcome, not just money but our time can make a difference in the lives of these people. And even if now we can not believe, once you do something to help someone, the feelings that you will receive worth all the effort;

Do something new. Adopt a ritual, but without falling into the routine. Maybe you it's easier to "fall" in pajamas and never get out of them until after the holidays. But just one appearance. You risk not only not to rest, but you can increase a depressed mood, a feeling of hopelessness and anguish existential to make you start the year harder if than you have had no vacation;

Life means and problems. And sadness. And disappointments. And worry. It looks like I didn't managed before we were born, to negotiate a pink life from beginning to end. But we can not find moments of joy if not looking, if not fighting for them, convinced that we deserve them. Up to us and the choices we make, to look for what we don't like or what is good every day. And it seems, like that's all are part of life.

I found very interesting, as a person who works with people who suffer from depression I am always in search if helpful advice.

The best solution out of depression is to make yourself busy: start doing exercises, learn one more language, go somewhere for a long weekend and made few new friends, start playing a piano and so on and so on!!!
Say NO to depression!:)
