The start of this summer I decided to slim down. What I've been doing is just a lot of running and healthier eating habits. I've lost 15-20 lbs so far. And one way I try and limit my calorie intake is to keep a log of the food I eat. This is so I know where I need to fix things and to make sure I don't eat to much. I eat about 5 times a day, but only in portions of about 200-300 calories every 3hrs. My daily foods consisted of egg whites and oatmeal for breakfast. I had fruits through out the day. Lunch I usually have like little sandwich on whole wheat bread. For dinner, Chicken breast and veges.
But with all this, motivation is important. With out it, it is extremely hard. I've tried things from look up fat people on the internet and saying, "I can't be like that" or trying to impress some one of the opposite sex. You have to find something that keeps you going. My biggest motivation was the start of school in the fall. I want to impress everyone when I get back and I always have wanted a great body. I also watched Super Size Me and this help me resist some foods. Just tell your self you don't need it and ask your self, "Am I eating cause I'm hungry? or am I just bored?" Get away from food if your eating for any reason other than being hungry. Go shopping or take a walk, a drive, what ever it is, just away from food temptations and try and find something to keep you occupied.
Good Luck!
