It can be defined as a capacity of putting its personal interests in the first plan above others. Every person in part posses egoism in a specific measure, someone say that without it we couldn't obtain that that we want. Are you an egoist? Do you think that it is good to be an egoist?

I think there is nothing good in that to be an egoist man, we should help each other in everything we do, but no be like animals independent for each other. If you are an egoist you should try to understand that everyone wants to be happy, this world is for everybody not just for egoists.

egoism is the view that humans are always motivated by self-interest, even in what seem to be acts of altruism. It claims that, when people choose to help others, they do so ultimately because of the personal benefits that they themselves expect to obtain, directly or indirectly, from doing so.
