Do undeveloped skills mark your personality? If yes, what should you do? Refuse to have more than one main activity. Decide this for yourself. Your enjoyment for what you do really well, will replace disappointment for hundred of things, which you do poorly.

So, what will be your choice?

I've always been saying that a good engineer should be a good engineer, and a good manager should be a good manager. The problem is that greediness makes people want more. I can't say it is bad, it's actually one of the principles that lead to progress.

undeveloped skills stay undeveloped until we develop them. You can't say it's impossible. Everything is possible if there is a will. Also, things we don't like should indeed be left. But things and deeds which bring benefit and pleasure are good to be learned.

I agree with Terry, the undeveloped skills don't run away, they are waiting for you to develop them . So, if you have not time to do it now, you'll do it later
