I agree Clearman, you've tackled the problem very smart. I forgot about the fact that Gypsies have a lot of children. I remember watching a TV show where a family of Gypsies having 11 children were invited. If Romania does nothing about that, the Gypsies are going to be the leaders.

The word derives from Egyptian, the same as the Spanish Gitano or the French Gitan. It spread in Europe, in the 15th century, after the immigration of the Romani people in that continent.They received this name from the local people either because they spread in Europe from an area named Little Egypt, in Southern Balkans or because they resembled the European imagery of Egyptians as dark-skinned people skilled in witchcraft but a genetic study reveals they came from Northern India. Later the notion of Gypsy evolved including other stereotypes, like nomadism, exoticism.

I think they are very good psychologists and they guess what we need to happen and our expectations in future.

c'mon people you are going deeper and deeper into predjudices. Gypsies are people like rest of us, with their small and big lives. They fear, cry, joy and lie and steal like rest of nations, like all other people. The greatest problem is their low education and that they are poor. All other things goes from there.
Don't lie about them. They arn't dangerous more then any other people, they are just ignorrant and desperate for food and money (in many cases). Give them respectfull job, force them to go to school and in 15 years problems with them will be small.

I disagree that the Gypsies are poor everywhere. About a half of them live very rich, their homes are full of gold and other precious things.

Yes, the will is an issue. Gypsies are not motivated to study. I think the problem is going to be solved, but, unfortunately we - the people who live today, won't see that because it needs a lot of time. You can't change in one or two days the things which kept persisting for hundreds of years.

About the poor gypsy children...they need help and education, without any political purposes ( for election, vote...), because they are very talented. I've heard about gypsy children taken by British families in adoption; they are studying today at Oxford and Cambridge... :quoi
