Is World of Warcraft worth playing and paying monthly? - Brandir - 01-27-2011

I had few friends that are recently playing World of Warcraft and they loved it. I heard that you also need to pay some kind of monthly payment in order to continue to play it. Can you guys give me some advice whether it's worth playing as well as paying monthly or not. Thanks, guys.

Many people say it is But it comes down to personal choice..

Its not just the money either, There is a lot of huge patches your constantly having to download..
so If you internet plan only offers you a small allowance, WOW(World of Warcraft) will take a huge chunk

I personally did get greatly into WOW But I know some people that are WOW addicts..

I find it feels a but slow at times & the graphics seem a but childish to me..

It's 15 bucks a month and it's well worth it I'm surprised it isn't more.

After you start playing the game you won't even notice your paying the monthly fee. Besides free MMOs suck the ones you have to pay for cost something for a very good reason. And it's the most played MMO and I think right now it has 16 mil. I retired but I'm coming back after the new expansion Big Grin

It really depends on your lifestyle. If you have the money and time, WoW is a great game. The lore is extremely detailed and involving, and if you're not into that, roll a warlock and set things on fire. That's always fun.
On the other hand, WoW is highly addictive. I know it sounds stupid, but many people have become hopelessly addicted to video games, and WoW is a major offender here. World of Warcraft is for people who have the time and money to play.

Hope I helped.

WOW is very fun. Well depends if you have time and the money for it. I'm not one of the addicts, constantly playing it, but it has much to offer. I pay every 6 months (around $70, but it's only $12 a month). You can create many characters, there are hundreds of quests to do, customization, and much more. It also depends on what computer you have. If you have a good computer, you won't get as much downloads, but if you have a little older one, then you probably will get alot. In my opinion, it's fun Big Grin

Yes, WOW is worth your time. I haven't been playing for over a month now because due to bills and rent, but other than that I go to Wal-Mart and buy the $30 card which goes for 2 months. Smile I can play it anytime at home and or at work. If you ever need a group to play with go on Wildhammer. Tongue

Ye sit is but dont let it control your life

Re: Is World of Warcraft worth playing and paying monthly? - Hallacar - 01-27-2011

$15 per month.
unlimited play.
it really depends on how much time you have on hand.
I loved it from all the lvling and multiple things such as quests and raids and instances and looting a bunch of goodies Big Grin
plus its a whole new way to interact with people all over the world.
it comes with multiple patches which you can download and expansions you can buy to make the world (of warcraft) larger.I would say if you had at least 10 hours a week free it would be worth it. especially if you love gaming and get a stress release from it.
mostly worth it Smile

Re: Is World of Warcraft worth playing and paying monthly? - Haldar - 01-27-2011

In my opinion it was worth playing when i did play it, honestly however after playing it for one year it completely took over my life and i am now selling my account. its a fun game however it may prevent you from getting a job, or having a personal life. if you do play wow play responsibly and take breaks, trust me its addicting and can be very life consuming.

Re: Is World of Warcraft worth playing and paying monthly? - Agarwaen - 01-27-2011

No. Since its so addictive, it might get you hooked, you will be drawn to it all day long, and your life will be consumed by thoughts of only gaming. you will buy fan antiques, and you will lose lots of money. It will NOT be worth it thus.
