Subventions when starting your own business in EU - Steven - 05-13-2009

As far as I know, starting a business in Europe is much easier than in other places in the world. Due to the presence of union, there are many opportunities for entrepreneurs to expand on foreign markets. A friend of mine told me that the EU assigns subventions for different activities. Are you aware about these activities? It would be a great advantage to start your own business in Europe and receive benefits from the state, as subventions. Or maybe there are activities exempted from taxes?
