President Out Of Country

President out of country

Postby tricker » 01 Aug 2009, 17:32

Exiled president of Honduras yesterday managed to return in homeland, but only for a few minutes. Along with several journalists and supporters, Manuel Zelaya passed the border on foot, but after a few meters was stopped by the border guard and forced to return to the country neighbor, Nicaragua.

Zelaya seems to have abused his powers.Zelaya's removal from office was legal. Honduras President Manuel Zelaya apparently sought reelection in violation of his country's constitution. Thus, despite his country's Congress and Supreme Court ruling it illegal, he determined to proceed with a referendum on changes that might allow him to be reelected. He also apparently illegally terminated a military leader who refused to cooperate.
The Honduras Congress voted to have him removed and the Supreme Court ordered it. The military supported his ouster and executed the orders. And, apparently Zelaya was opposed by many in his own political party and his popularity among the public was declinin. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8124154.stm (June 29 BBC article with Q & A on the situation)

he overrated the influence and received what he wanted. is any limit to be respected, I would want to be president all my life but .it is not possible not for him , not for others..
