70 Years Since The Beginning Of The Second World War

70 years since the beginning of the Second World War

Postby Peach » 02 Sep 2009, 14:39

The international community commemorates 70 years since the beginning of the second world war. Main festivities take place in Poland, a country attacked first by Germany, to September 1, 1939. Cases that have caused the outbreak of World War II and today continues to cause dissension in the relationship between the Russian Federation and European Union.
why Poland and not Russia who won the war?

I also would not celebrate something like this... so many people died that not have left space for celebration ... unique parade may be held in honor of soldiers and veterans

Not really understand what they are celebrating; perhaps we should celebrate too the great battles, but I do not think that for any one human death means holiday. time goes so fast - already passed 70 years ;(
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

probably they celebrate not the victory but the fact that Russia could not reach Europe, (which was not in her interest, because she does not initiated the attack))

Great patriotic war began for Russia only in 41st.

And i agree it is more apropriete to celebrate end of the war (day of Victory) not its begining.
