If Islam is the true religion, then it doesn't need to adapt to the world. Islam is the same as it was in the 600s, unlike Christianity. Islam is the fastest growing religion, more people convert to Islam than any other religion.

Why do you think it should adapt? Islam is fine the way it is and if it weren't for the political mess in the Middle East (and the West splitting up the Middle East into small countries after WW2), the Islamic World would be one of the most advanced places on Earth.

Hey, if you're fine with your daughter being dragged out of your house, raped and later executed for having been raped, then there's no sense in me trying to reason with you. As for Islam, the ME is, effectively, back in the bronze age. Before WW2, it was @1930. There's a whole lotta difference between the bronze age and 1930.

Islamic world never was advanced. Even during the Dark Ages (the golden time of islamic culture), most of islamic poets and scientists were under harsh scrutiny or downright killed. Almost all of islamic achievements were either built on what they have received via the Silk Road, or imported from Greek and Roman culture.

No religion is fine the way it is. If Islam doesn't adapt, it won't survive.

The "fastest growing" claim is based on a study done in the 1990s and was primarily due to birthrate.

Islam's inability to deal with diversity of opinions, its oppressive treatment of women, its continued acceptance of slavery, and it's complete refusal to recognize that social attitudes have changed over the 1400 years since it was founded are all reasons why Muslims need to take a solid look at the Quran and separate the silly, outdated nonsense from the basic principles.


The Islamic world was an intellectual and political backwater long before WWII, and the Islamic Golden Age lasted from the mid-8th to the mid-13th century. There's a long time between the 1200s and 1945.

The ethics practiced and accepted during the Islamic Golden Age are far, far different from the ethics advocated by mainstream Islam today.

You are delusional if you think 600s mentality (barbarism) would lead to the most advanced place on earth. On the contrary, that is exactly what hindered man's progression for centuries. Science leads to progression, not ancient fairy tales created by barbarians.
