Fasting for days and weeks is good . But what is the real meaning behind those weeks of fasting? Are we doing anything great ?

If you are feeling that you are doing something great by just fasting for weeks before Christmas , then you are wrong. The main objective of Christmas is not about fasting
.

The main objective of the fast that we all observe is that

- We should be able to repent for all our sins .

- Make up our mind to not do such mistakes in future .

- But we all make promises to God. But what do we do the very next hour ? We repeat the same mistake again and again.

- Next time we again promise ourselves , that we won't do that mistake again , but still we repeat it .Why?

It is because we have considered asking for forgiveness as a hobby and taking Holy Communion as a part of our customs.

Taking Holy Communions alone wont make you a good Christian .

We are humans , but we can still try our level best to follow the Ten Commandments.

I am 100 % sure that you all feel a lot better with this . You will feel it , you will have a lot of peace, joy ,blessings and above all - your Love for God will be infinite.

Just think :

1. How Much You Have Changed with every Christmas ?
2. Why Was Jesus Born in first place?
3. Are we really thankful to Jesus for what He did ?
4. Did you forgive the sins committed by others ?



Christmas is a period of :
Love , Peace and Unity .

Its not only a period of celebration with your family and friends alone but with the needy and poor . Think about the people around you - who cannot afford to celebrate Christmas .

CHRISTMAS is about giving something to the needy ,loving others , and celebrating with them.

The Ultimate message in celebrating Christmas is about giving the poor and repenting for your sins and nothing else.

This is very interesting shammi - I have never heard of anyone fasting before Christmas. Normally people eat huge amounts around Christmas! What denomination are you?

It is true that people could be more socially aware instead of concentrating on their family and friends. I heard that suicide rates increase significantly over Christmas, and it doesn't surprise me
