Peace be on you.
“Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them in a way that is best. Surely, thy Lord knows best who has strayed from His way; and He knows those who are rightly guided.” (Holy Quran, chapter 16: verse 126)

According to my understanding, requisites for calling unto the way of God are:

1: Identify the age, era, time and spiritual situation of world and promises of God.
2: Pure and selfless intention.
3: Seek help of God.
4: Think how to convey the divine message and reach people.
5: Talk to righteous people. There is no need to start with stone like minds that never open up.
6: Personal contact is important; contnuity is wisdom; high morals and mercy are treasures in this path; general advice is beginning.
7: Deeds of callers unto way of God must be pure and according to what they call for.
8: Start with best and solid argument.
9: Steadfastness is required.
10: No Extremism, no fanaticism, no sword, no gun is used to win hearts.
11: Prayers should be continued all along.
