Life Is Precious

Life is precious

Postby M.Helen » 21 Nov 2008, 16:51

Imagine your life is a 24-hour clock and you can understand how short it is.

For example, if you plan to live 80 years, and you now are 20:
80 years - 24:00
20 years - 6:00

The life timer will show only 6 o'clock in the morning, you haven't yet waken up. Many say the life ends at 40. Not true! At 40 your life timer shows only 12:00, the day only begins at this hour!

I wouldn't like to reach the "6 o'clock period". For men, this is probably the worst thing that may happen :?
Still, it is important that our brains remain topical and up to date.

a friend of mine told me that, if it's morning, the alarm rings and you don't wanna wake up, then you don't wanna live. This is good incentive for me to wake up.
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

yes it's true Benn. But sometimes the sleep is so sweet, that you don't even care about life. Or, if you had a hard night before, the morning will be a hell for you

life becomes precious when there are more values in it. By value I don't mean material value. I mean the more we love and the more friends we have, the more precious the life will seem. :super

Life is precious indeed, and I appreciate every moment of my life. Buddha said - don't be happy with the past or with the future, be happy with the present. We often expect a bright future all our lives, and only when we're old, we realize that this bright future hasn't arrived. So just live with the present!

The human understands for real how life is precious only when he overcomes difficult and stressed situations. Tough circumstances make us understand how good we live after we surmount them. I'm not saying we have to cause troubles to ourselves, I'm saying that being a little bit independent is only good for us.

Life is also precious when you encounter sweet moments: your wife gives birth to a child; you open your own company etc.
Instead, people disregard life when somebody from the relatives/friends die.

Life is so precious and not just when good things happen, whats sad is that everyday we live our life and only when something threatens our existence do we really learn to apprecaite it.

I rather often meet such cases when people don't value their lives, and even there are those who don't wanna live, but after some period of time, when they are ill or old they begin to understand how much time has been wasted and every minute of their life becomes precious, but unfortunately it's late... So, my advice is to value our lives while the going is good :)

I think it is very good that the middle-age would be at 12 o'clock. Means it is the most beautiful time, you are fullfilled by energy, you have the list of plans for the daytime and every thing was before has good result for present :)

yes, life is precious, but if we had the possibility to stop the during times or change something then it would lose all value .. is like a depreciation of the diamond, considering it a rock, or a form of carbon, and no way as a perfect jewel.

Life is short and it is not new. We should live our life at the maximum and should not waste it on the stupid things as sleeping more than it is recommended, or watching some uninteresting programs on the TV. We should realize that we don't have time to spent time for such useless things.

You will know how precious life is when you are experiencing near death, you will remember what are the things you did and didn't do. That's the time when you will know how your life is important. We have only one soul and we will grow old as time flies we will not be able to change our age. We can't do things we did when we're old.
