Re: SOUTH AFRICA 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP TOURNAMENT

Hello, friends! Fifa World Cup 2010 is around the corner. I have been working hard to make this tool ready before the tournament http://football.ermaki.info/en.php Now you can use it for your predictions of the games. The numbers represent the strengths of the teams on the scale from 0 to 100. You m...

Re: Jogging on open air vs indoor on a running machine

Which do you think is healthier and is more efficient for weight loss? Jogging on open air or jogging indoor on a running machine? The most efficient indoor exercise is walking upstairs in a skyscraper. Jogging indoors on a running machine is a very boring exercise. Unless it is a scorching heat ou...

Re: Which exercise is healthier for the heart running or walking

Anyway which exercise is healthier for the heart running or walking and why? If you run too fast and for a very long time, you may even hurt your heart. So, I would say, walking is healthier. Of course, if you walk too much, you may get exhausted as well, but still, I think, it is healthier. But, m...

Re: The end of the world

If not all of the above scripts, then in 4-5 billion years wll come the end. By that time all the sun's hydrogen will have burned out and the Earth along with Venus and Mercury will be consumed by the expanding sun. If the Earth survives the sun's expansion, then it will cool down to absolute zero a...

Re: Champions League 2008/09

This ranking system http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/03032009/58/champions-league-european-power-rankings.html that Steven posted is good because it takes into account domestic games as well as CL and UEFA Cup games. The only thing that I do not like about this system is that they do not give any point...

Re: Champions League 2008/09

Steven, pardon me, but what years had been used for computing the coefficients you gave us? It does not look like it's a five-year period (04/05 through 08/09), as they do not agree with the coefficients last updated on Thu, 26 Feb 2009 23:40:24 CET at http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/m...

Re: Champions League 2008/09

Not only Zhirkov!

Guus has recommended to Abramovich to buy both Zhirkov and Dzagoev. The latter is the young star (not yet 21 years old) who already plays for the Russian national team!

Re: Arshavin and his new team

Arshavin will NOT make his Arsenal debut against Cardiff City in the FA Cup.
He is not eligible for this game. He can play in the FA Cup only in the next round, provided Arsenal defeats Cardiff.

So, his debut is now postponed till Saturday 21 against Sunderland in the Premier League.

Guus Hiddink has become Chelsea's new manager.

I am sure this wizzard will be able to make Chelsea win the Campions League!

Re: Arshavin and his new team

Arsene Wenger did not let him play last Sunday against Tottenham Spurs.
Arshavin is not in good shape now -- no practice for the past two months.

Interesting when will be his first appearance?

Unfortunately, Arshavin won't play in the Champions League this season.

Re: Big bang?

Hmm... interesting theory. I hope we won't reach the moment when it shrinks to one point, it will be painful, I think. There is an interesting BBC movie about big bang, my advice - watch it. :super Our sun will have burned out long before that - so we will sooner freeze. But this may not be ...

Re: Big bang?

If not big bang, I see no other possibilities of how we appeared. But, let's now imagine what the word "nothing" means. Nothing means there was absolutely nothing nothing nothing, not a dust, not a light, not a dark etc. If big bang took place, where from did it take place? Our Universe i...

Re: UEFA CUP 2008/2009 Season

Aston Villa v CSKA Moskva -- a close match, but I think CSKA will win Bremen v AC Milan -- definitely Milan. Dynamo Kyiv v Valencia -- hard to predict! Zenit v Stuttgart -- after some winter rest Zenit probably may get strong again (now it's a totally exhausted team) and I think will be able to win.

Chelsea FC (ENG) v Juventus (ITA) -- is one of the hardest to predict. I think Juventus will win.
Good luck Juve!

Re: Champions League 2008/09

My predictions for winners:

Champions League --- Liverpool

UEFA Cup ------------- Milan or CSKA (Moscow)

The result, Barcelona 2-3 Shakhter, is incredible!

Have you heard that Real Madrid wants to buy Arshavin from Zenit St. Petersbug?

Re: Mountine Bike

I have tried biking on hills, but not in real mountains. I enjoy biking, especially this off-the-road kind of biking. Experience is great, except that you are very likely to get flat tyres.

Re: Champions League 2008/09

Dima, there are still chances for you. Zenit has little, but still, has chances to gain points. On October 21 they played 1:1 with Bate, that's bad... BTW, did you expect the result of 3:5 between Steaua and Lyon? No way! Yes, theoretically they can get up to 9 remaining points, but that is extreme...

Re: Champions League 2008/09

However, Roma isn't doing well in the Serie A though. After the first two games only one point:

Roma 1-1 Napoli
Palermo 3-1 Roma

I wonder what place is Cluj in Romania's League now? Are they in the top part of the table?
