How To Get A Star From The Sky?

How to get a star from the sky?

Postby Terry » 09 Jul 2008, 18:45

My girlfriend asked me to asked me to make her a present - a star!
Honestly, I can't do anything but to name a star with her name. Do you have any suggestions? What shall I do?

you probably were drunk or too much in love when saying these words. Still, if you did, just find a present of star shape, that's the best thing you can do. Just make sure it's not cheap.

How about some star jewellry? You can buy some really nice star-shaped pendants at the moment.

You can get star gemstones (e.g., you can get a star sapphire) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sapphire

Or you could get a pendant made from part of a meteorite (Ok, not technically a star...) - I've seen this kind of thing in hippy shops

you know what? I've heard that there are companies selling places on the moon. Is that true? If so, how much is it?

yes Terry, that's correct. Actually, it would be the best gift you can make to your girlfriend. Being a holder of an official document that states you possess land on the moon is something unimaginable to me.

I wonder what are the prices, they must be "universal prices". And, how are they sold by square meter or square kilometer? And what about if the land on the moon is already shared by other civilizations in the universe.

a guy named Dennis Hope is a multi-millionaire due to selling real-estate on the moon.

That means he makes money out of nothing. There will never be life on the moon, because it's impossible - no atmosphere, no Earth gravitation etc.

There is no juridical power of such a commercial transaction. it is just a waste of money.

Space tourism is now evolving. It's very expensive of course, but I believe in the future reach men will make such presents to their girls - take them for a flight around the world and show them the universe. I guess such a gift will be an unbelievable one. No girl will dare cheating her man after having this wonderful gift.
