US chlorine-disinfected chickens in Europe

Postby M.Helen » 19 May 2008, 01:15

although at the moment EU forbids to disinfect poultry with chlorine, it is possible that soon in our supermarkets we will buy such chickens in case the initiative is approved by Brussels. The substance of chlorine may leave harmful consequences for the human body. prepare for the worst ((

Why the subject is "US chlorine"? Is the chlorine from US or what?
In many countries water is disinfected with chlorine... and people live.

water is disinfected with chlorine at micro level, there are only a few molecules of it in tap water. But, for disinfecting a chicken chlorine in a bigger amount is necessary, so it may be dangerous.
