Headset Damage Hearing

Headset damage hearing

Postby Lorry » 20 Dec 2009, 10:44

Hearing damage from headsets is probably more common than from loudspeakers, because many people exploit the acoustic isolation by listening at higher volumes. According to the review, listening to music with headphones at a standard volume level of about 100 decibels for only 15 minutes a day can cause permanent damage.
Did you experienced on yourself some damage from the headsets?

Most headphones come with a warning that listening to loud sounds may damage hearing. Obviously, you should consider this warning when you use them. If a noise is loud enough to cause physical pain or discomfort, chances are it will damage your ears.

I use headphone for many years and i didn't pay attention at my hearing percentage. I think it comes with time and it is not danger to listen music with headsets, of course if you will listen at a low volume. If listening at a high volume it can damage hearing no doubts.
