Survey About EU And Its Future

Survey about EU and its future

Postby Giedrius_EU » 07 May 2009, 19:34

Hi.

I'm doing a little analysis about the EU. So in this poll you will be able to express your opinion about your country's integration into the European Union, its future prospects and expectations. You may also participate in the poll despite of that your country is not a member state of the European Union.

While responding to the questions please try to be objective and also please refer to the real position of yours, but not instant emotions.

While commenting on the survey please follow the constructiveness, argumentation and basic ethical principles.

You can find the survey here: htt p://www .polls4u. com/poll/59

To be able to make objective conclusions I need more people from more countries to participate.

Thank you for your cooperation :)

I want to know your opinion on the future of the EU .... certainly that will be brilliant but it deserves to be discussed .... so add your opinion at this topic! I believe that the EU will be as many countries tend to enter and become a Member!
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

I would say it will not even be so brilliant! will be like now! some countries have tended to leave the EU, for eg the UK, others like Croatia to join! there is nothing wrong in this union! the UE Members assist and receive assistance!

To be perfectly honest (and personal) I don´t think about it much.

I´m a romanticists and a global traveller so thinking "internationally" I take for granted. But I´ve seen a lot of strife around the world so I find naive comfort in belonging to a union for "Euopeans Only". That´s a bit of a contradiction because on the one hand I see being a member of the EU as an international endevour and yet by preferring to exclude the rest of the world I´m acting out the part of an EU "Nationalist" (huh ?).

Anyway, being an EU member doesn´t really mean very much in practical terms for me. Not in my everyday life, that is. Living in the south of Sweden there´s always been a distaste (a grave exagerration) for the government in Stockholm, so far away from "ground zero". So having a "capital" in Brussels is pretty much the same thing.

For the everyday man the EU is a way of belonging, sharing, and supporting, without giving up cultural ethics. It´s rather like the military, for example. Each unit is unto itself and competes with other units but yet when a mission is at hand it draws on the diverse abilities of other units in a brotherly comradry - becoming "one".

In the final analysis, belonging to the EU means different things to different people mainly because most of us do not think in diplomatic terms.

In general I'm not interested in the EU future. I like to live the present. People in politics have done quite well their jobs. They inspire people that the EU is a gold key that unite countries of the European continent. But not really, we people, keep it united, and even if this union will disappear we will remain as we are. Union, could say, that even more problems brings lately, though not all countries are treated equally. It exist a superiority.
