I think that EU can find a powerful ally in the face of Russia, with out USA, Euro Asian Empire. I want to know are your think in that direction? We all are Europeans so why we can not create A new world order? Our technologies + EU technologies Our spirit + your spirit. USA is not in the EUROASIAN COALITION.

Actually, I remember as a child that many people in my town wanted to become allied with the USSR nd not the USA. Probably because we thought they would win the Cold War But also because the poor industrial areas of the UK are very socialist - it would be a shame if we lost our education system and welfare state, and became too much like the USA. Even though politics has changed, Europe and Russia are more thinking and cultured: we should be proud of that.

Actually I thought that this offer will be reduced, but now I can understand, Russia as ally is attracted Europe, but EU is afraid us. I know even why, because all of our history we wouldn't try to be a friends.USA is a real barbarian country with the less of education, but with big power, it is like a big stupid guy. If it was not WW2, the USA would be like a Brazil , I hope that we will be allies, and together will create a new Empire that will lead us to the space,new planets, new life. I think that in the present days Europe are captured by the USA, and cannot realized that ally with Russia will make EU much stronger than USA, you have everything that they have, and we have a lot of recourses and our own technologies.

I believe in collaboration as well. But, I don't see any concrete steps in this sense. Today I heard that Putin said he will revise Russia's cooperation with Europe, meaning it will worsen, because Russia wasn't accepted for a meeting between the EU and Ukraine in Belgium, the goal of which was to discuss power security in Ukraine.

I don't think it's necessary to call Russia to be either Europea or Asian. It's a neutral territory. But, certainly in the matter of its traditions it can't be called Asian at all. It's culture is totally different, its religion is Christianity as against the entire Asia.

Is there something I missed? Russia invests very little in science. It has no famous manufacturers of technological devices, such as PCs, phones, etc.
But, it invests in army, so I don't think that's a peaceful country which EU can become ally with.

I don't understand how you can say we are a real barbarian country... I see it the other way around. Most Americans strive for peace, freedom and human rights none of which I think are barbaric. I don't believe my country is perfect but I know its not barbaric and though the image of America has been tarnished by the actions of pass leaders we are still a great country and there is an effort here in America to change the mindset of our foreign policy and restore some values that have been lost along the way.

So I would like to say that it a good arguments from you, and I really don't feel hate to Americans people, but it is my decision to wish Empire without USA. And about space, I think that you know, that ISS is based on 3 technologies American, European and Russian, we have an equal place in space, you have lost your space ships, and Russian ships are only one which can supply ISS (International Space Station)

Are you aware that Yuri Gagarin - a russian cosmonaut - was the first man in space? The USSR and USA were equal in the space race: sometimes one was ahead, sometimes the other. Just because the USA happened to make it to the moon first means little: the moon landing was used to publicise the west's "superiority" during the cold war, just as the USSR's many acheivements in space were used to publicise the east. Since the end of the cold war, Russia had it's problems in the 1990s but are now investing again in technology: I often see Russians at trade fairs, and hear about business deals with large Russian companies.

Only people with money can afford to do this. Someone from a poor background in the USA can only afford to go to college if they join the military, win a sports scholarship or win a beauty pageant! University graduates routinely do bar work or other menial jobs in the evening after their professional job, AND have to live in relative squalour, in order to pay back loans for their university tuition fees.

A civilised society should provide good education for ALL its citizens, so that the best and brightest people have the opportunity to fill the most demanding jobs (instead of us being run by idiots with rich parents!)

what you said is definately not true... it very possible to get education with little money required... there are some colleges that offer free tuition but require students to follow some fair conditions. military, sports and beauty? you seem to have left out many other scholarships available in an attempt to paint a bad picture of america... a person can get some money from a variety of scholarships, you can get money for your academics, your heritage, your religion, and even your eye color just to name some... the list goes on.
A person doesn't need to go to an expensive school to get a good education... in the end a degree is a degree. and anyone who is stuck working two jobs after graduation either planned poorly or knew what they were getting into before hand.
I, for example, am attending a university that is relatively expensive. My parents are not rich, though they do help me some with college payments. I have received some scholarships none of which come from the military sports or beauty. I have student loans that are available to all students and have low interest rates. To help pay off debts I go to school for two semesters and work fulltime the 3rd semester. When I graduate I will be in debt but I am given about 10 years to pay my loans off and I am certain that the career path i've chosen will help erase that debt relatively fast.
But i agree america's education system is not perfect. Education received before college is not equal amoung races and I think more needs to be done so that all races have the same opportunities and obstacles.

In what direction? We just don't advertising our programs like USA do, and our rockets have been still most powerful in the world. Our techs are widely present in the ISS program. And about the moon, USSR could visit it after USA but for what if they had been there already? So we created the first space station MIR instead of this. All the best space programs are international, so USA is not leading the world into the space, the world is leading it self.
