How you think..countries should take italian's example and do the same thing?
As far as I know illegal immigration is a "criminal offence" in all the countries of the world, no? Of course I may not really understand what is "criminal" and what is not (with regards the illegal immigrant his/herself) but knowingly harbouring/employing an illegal immigrant must be a criminal offence, no? I agree that illegal immigration is not a good thing for the general populace and I feel that something should be done against it. Sitting behind bars for 3 years may a bit harsh but I doubt that any judge would impose the maximum punishment on anyone. I´m guessing it´s used more as an deterrent than a real life sentence.
I think yes, we should all take Italia´s example but
tailor it to local needs, not Italy´s.
