I belong to a slimming club where eating more vegetables and vegetarian alternatives to meat is encouraged. I know that my club has many members who are not vegetarian, but regularly eat Quorn and soy because they are good low-fat protein sources. Those that do eat meat eat smaller portions of lean meat, with more vegetables and cereals.

an excellent point. However, one must exercise moderation in all things - including the preoccupation with eco-wise thinking. Thus, what would make the most sense for extreme eco-activists would be cannibalism... err... thanks but no thanks.

Yes I agree that animals are also creatures in a way, but this is the law of nature. And the animals eat each other. But that does not mean that carnivores are worse than ierbivores and vice versa.
Why should yell in her mouth that are vegetariens.. ? The animals doesn't do that! But People do it. These animals are bred for this purpose... to be eating. We do not go out hunting them and we do not bring any endangered to species. Must not confuse vegetarianism with killing animals for fur, bones, skin etc.

FreeThinker wrote:If you eat meat, you kill an animal or two. If you are a vegeterian, you destroy habitats of many species to cultivate crops. Eco-wise, eating meat sounds like a better option to me.

Plants, vegetables and fruits that we eat ,and also animals for meat are reared / cultivated special for this purpose. Where you have seen people eating endangered species ? hey guys you need to inform a little bit

Hmm, I think there are always zealots - it is a fine line between wanting to share what you believe, and harassing othersNice..... but how you can see, are people against those who eat meat...

Finally imagine you are walking near a crime scene where you are seeing a couple of gangsters raping a girl for example. Will you say to yourself "Well it's their lifestyle let them do what they like. I have my lifestyle that is different and they have their lifestyle so I have no right to intervene." Hell no! You will be running to call the police, because otherwise you are an accomplice. And if there is no police or phone nearby a brave man will fucking grab something heavy and go fight the bastards.
