Environment Friendly Products And Services.

Environment friendly products and services.

Postby Admin » 23 Dec 2008, 10:18

I consider Environment friendly products those products that are manufactured with less possible harm to environment while holding long enough time to compensate this harm.
Thus the friendliest products to environment will be manufactured using green and renewable energy sources like wind, solar and wave energy, with minimum possible pollution and will be usable for a very long time.
Here we can discuss such products.

What about products like solar panels and wind generators?
Should we discuss them here as well?
These products are definitely environment friendly.

Solar products and wind generators are not quite "products". I think Admin meant products that we use in our daily life. Unfortunately, these products are not so popular now. Here, to mention solar GPS-es, which I find to be useful and environment friendly, since no need to charge it in socket.

this lite battery is environmentally friendly. TriLite LED Torch uses magnetic induction to generate electricity which is stored in a capacitor. The high output LED bulbs then use this stored electricity to produced light

No I think solar panels and wind generators can be discussed in a separate topic in the environment forum.
This topic is for green consumer goods.
Clothes, paper, electronics, furniture etc.
Please post any real life experiences about products you used.

buy furniture made of timber. It's a uniquely environmentally friendly product, which is renewable and recycled if well managed.

Now I think environmental friendly products are much more expensive than those which may cause harm to the environment. The point is that somebody doesn't allow these products to become popular and to suit the price bracket, because they have to sell their own products, which are manufactured in big quantities. :-(
