I want to move to Hungary. What are my options? Do I need a work permit? Are they easy to obtain? I have a master's degree in counseling psychology.
I am not currently in Hungary. I'm in the US.

Well all of Europe needs therapy, but the problem is that they are not aware of it because they smoke so much. You may also have a problem since you moved to Europe to get a job. Europe is a great place to look at old architecture and eat. If you want a real life and a job come back to the US.

Do you know Hungarian? Or at least German? Without knowing one of this languages it would be hard for you to do counseling there. Your degree might not be recognized (they have a procedure for recognizing non-EU degrees but it takes time), you will most likely need a work permit, but the best thing to do is to contact the Hungarian embassy in your country and ask them a lot of questions!

It may be a stupid question,but why Hungary???
I mean even if you could get a job,you won't be paid well...
There are much better places in Europe.I would recommend Hungary as a top place for active holidays,but not for living here.
You know the food is great and the places here are beautiful,but otherwise,you can't make a living here.
Let me tell you that hungarians are a very stick-in-the-mud,and if you don't speak hungarian.....the chances to get a job are very minimal.About the work permit.Hungarians are afraid of Americans especially in higher places,so it won't be hard to obtain a work permit.
