Subventions When Starting Your Own Business In EU

Subventions when starting your own business in EU

Postby Steven » 13 May 2009, 18:58

As far as I know, starting a business in Europe is much easier than in other places in the world. Due to the presence of union, there are many opportunities for entrepreneurs to expand on foreign markets. A friend of mine told me that the EU assigns subventions for different activities. Are you aware about these activities? It would be a great advantage to start your own business in Europe and receive benefits from the state, as subventions. Or maybe there are activities exempted from taxes?

Since I am not proficient on this field, I wondered what is a subvention. And I thought to post here this explanation for others like me :)
noun

1. (Obsolete) the act of subvening
2. money granted, as by a government, in support of a study, institution, etc.; subsidy
