"The mafia is a pathological phenomenon that we want to defeat once and for all by the end of this term in office," Mr Berlusconi told Italy's national radio.
Italian police have arrested hundreds of people in recent anti-mafia raids. Those being held are accused of extortion, arms dealing and drugs trafficking.
Do you think that it will reduce the crimes and disturbance in the country?

Well, good luck to him. Hopefully he's succeed or at least lessen the maffia.

However he will try to reduce the crime in his country, i think he would never manage it because in this country are many immigrants and visitors from all around the world, and when they arrive in this country they start their criminal life and then return to their country and then others are coming, it is very hard to catch them.

Well you are right Lorry but if they are really sincere to defeat the maffia then they will double fold their works. It's a challenging task though.
