Bulgaria - Best Tax Reformer

Bulgaria - best tax reformer

Postby Andrewz » 08 Jun 2008, 22:25

Bulgaria entered the Top 10 of the best reformers in the world, determined by the World Bank's 'Doing business 2008' survey. It was declared the mosst successful tax reformer, with a drop from 15% to 10% in corporate tax and a decrease of 7% in social security. Well done for it. Eastern European countries should follow its example.

yes, but these are only reforms. It means nothing important. The government can issue reforms as many as it wants, another thing is that these reforms must be implemented

Eastern European countries tend to copy the western part of the world by adopting reforms. This means they don't know how to manage their own systems (especially the tax one). Each country should draft its own system of tax circulation.

In the Republic of Moldova, the share for the income tax is "0", yes"0". Unfortunately it can't be called the best tax-reformer because this reform hasn't shown good results yet.

it has to make reforms. It wasn't ready actually to join the European Union, so it solves the remaning issues now, 'cause it's the exigency of the EU.

Bulgarian government hasn't removed yet all the negative parts remained from its former socialist status. Specialists will find it very difficult to reform the tax system. They would need to hire foreign specialists.

I don't believe foreign specialists (especially the Western ones), Bulgaria has its own economy and own features.
